The short answer: your first visit is a complimentary nurse-led assessment of about 30 minutes. Brooke looks at your skin, talks through your goals and explains your options, how many sessions are likely and the cost, before any treatment is booked.
At your assessment, Brooke will:
- Ask about your skin history, skincare, sun exposure and any medicines.
- Look closely at your pigmentation, texture or breakouts to work out what's going on.
- Explain which treatment suits your skin, and when another option (or a dermatologist) would be a better fit.
- Map out a personalised plan with the likely number of sessions and the recovery to expect.
- Confirm your costs in writing before you start, with prices on our fees page.
Pigmentation often needs a course of treatment plus daily sun protection to hold the result. Brooke will be clear about what's realistic for your skin.

Is All Pigmentation Suitable for Laser?
No. Sun spots and freckles often respond well to pico laser, but melasma can flare with the wrong treatment, and any brown spot that is new, changing or unusual should be checked by a doctor first.

Will I see a doctor as well?
