What Erbium Laser Treats

Erbium laser removes thin, controlled layers of skin and can add heat in deeper layers to stimulate collagen. Its flexibility makes it a useful part of acne scar treatment, especially for shallow to moderate scarring.

Compared with CO2 laser, erbium usually heals a little faster, while CO2 gives more collagen tightening for deeper scars. See comparing acne scar lasers.

  • Shallow to moderate boxcar and rolling scars
  • Rough texture and an uneven surface
  • Blending after punch excision

How Erbium Laser Works

We use the Sciton Contour TRL, with depth set for your scars and skin.

1

2

Layers are removed

The laser vaporises thin layers of skin, pass by pass, to a precise depth.
