Who Is Nurse TingTing?

What Happens at a Nurse-Led Assessment?
The short answer: your first visit with TingTing is a complimentary nurse-led assessment of about 30 minutes. She listens to what bothers you, looks at your face and skin as a whole, and explains your options and their costs before any treatment is booked.
Here is what to expect:
- A conversation about your concerns, your skin history, current skincare and anything you've had done before.
- A look at structure, movement, volume and skin quality, rather than one area in isolation.
- Honest advice on what's realistic, what isn't, and any alternatives, including doing nothing.
- A staged plan, which for facial treatment is often mapped out over twelve months.
- Costs confirmed in writing before you start, with prices on our fees page.
There's no obligation to go ahead on the day. Many people take the plan home and book when they're ready.

How Do Nurses and Dermatologists Work Together at DERMSS?
TingTing works within a dermatologist-led clinic. Her treatments are nurse-led, and she works under the oversight of Dr Mitch Robinson, FACD.
Where a treatment needs a doctor's assessment, a doctor sees you in their own consultation before that treatment goes ahead. If TingTing notices something that needs a medical opinion, such as a changing spot, a rash that isn't settling or a mole you're worried about, she can bring in one of our dermatologists: Dr Mitch Robinson, Dr Emily Shao or Dr Benny Yau.
This means your cosmetic plan and your skin health are looked after in the same building, by people who talk to each other.

Seeing Nurse TingTing
Is there a cost for the first appointment with TingTing?
No. Your first visit is a complimentary nurse-led assessment of about 30 minutes. If you choose to go ahead with treatment, the cost is confirmed in writing before you start.
Will I see a doctor as well?
Only if you need one. TingTing works under Dr Mitch Robinson's oversight. Where a treatment needs a doctor's assessment, or she sees a skin concern that needs a medical opinion, she can arrange for you to see one of our dermatologists.
Is there a Medicare rebate for nurse-led treatments?
No. Cosmetic consultations and treatments, including nurse-led treatments, don't attract a Medicare rebate.
Do I need a referral to see TingTing?
